We run our own trade business on it.
Oddjobz is a job-management app for tradespeople. It runs our own handyman business on the Sunshine Coast today: real-estate agents email a job sheet, Oddjobz reads it automatically, and it becomes a job, a quote, a visit and an invoice — records that can't be quietly changed. A paid invoice can't be silently un-paid. It's the proof the tech does real daily work, not just demos.
The problem every trade knows
The job lives in five places
An email from the agent, a text from the tenant, a scribbled quote, a photo on your phone, an invoice in another app. None of them agree, and none of them is the real one.
Details fall through the cracks
"No hot water, tenant home after 3pm, owner approved up to $400" gets retyped, half-remembered, or lost between the inbox and the van. The bit that mattered is the bit that goes missing.
You can't prove what happened
Was the invoice paid? Was the quote approved before you bought the parts? When records can be edited after the fact, a disagreement comes down to who shouts loudest.
Most trade software just moves the mess into a new app. We wanted the records themselves to be trustworthy — so the history of a job is something you can lean on, not argue about.
How it works, in plain terms
A job sheet emailed in becomes a jobGmail intake
Real-estate agents already email us job sheets. Oddjobz reads each one automatically — no forms to re-key, no copy-paste — and turns it into a job with the customer, the site and the details attached.
Quote, visit and invoice follow the jobone timeline
From that one job, a quote goes out, a visit gets scheduled, and an invoice is raised — all chained together as one history you can read top to bottom.
Records that can't be quietly changedtamper-evident
Every record is sealed and linked to what came before, so any change is visible. A paid invoice can't be silently un-paid; an approved quote can't be edited after the fact without it showing.
Photos and documents stay with the jobattachments
The PDFs and site photos that come in with the work are kept against the job they belong to, so the full picture stays in one place instead of scattered across a phone and an inbox.
What's honestly true today
We'd rather be straight with you than oversell. Here's exactly where Oddjobz stands.
Live and doing real work live
Oddjobz runs our handyman business on the Sunshine Coast right now, with real customers, real quotes, real invoices and real site photos — not test data. You can see the live site at oddjobtodd.info.
Job sheets in from Gmail live
Incoming job sheets from agents are read automatically out of email and turned into jobs. This is running, not planned.
In progress building
Sending updates by SMS and text-message intake aren't done yet. The field app and operator console are still being wired through end to end.
Not yet a product you buy single-operator alpha
Today there's one operator on it — us. It's a working alpha that we run our own business on (a dogfood), not yet a multi-operator app other trades sign up for.
Built on Semantos, the engine underneath
The reason an Oddjobz invoice can't be silently un-paid isn't a clever app feature — it's the foundation it's built on. Semantos is our shared layer that turns every fact into a sealed, tamper-evident record that can't be faked, copied or quietly changed, with its core safety rules mathematically proven. Oddjobz is what that looks like doing an honest day's work. See the engine under it →
